FROM THE BEGINNING
Nelson Daniels Journey
The Satisfuel Diet Program was founded by Nelson Daniels M.D (Retired) over 20 years ago. After dedicating twenty-five years to a bustling family practice in Canada, he found himself struggling with excess weight. In his words, “It became increasingly challenging, and a bit embarrassing to offer weight loss advice to my patients when I wasn't addressing the same problem myself”. This eventually prompted him to take action, leading to the creation of a simple diet plan that allowed him to shed 65 pounds! Astonished by his transformation, his patients expressed interest in the program and shared their success stories with friends. The program gained wide popularity for its delicious meal replacement bars and easy to follow guidelines.
Moving Forward
Going Digital
Up until 2024, the program and meal replacement bars had only been sold locally in Scarborough, Ontario. In fact, the programs huge success came from word of mouth referrals and no marketing was ever needed! In comes Nav Dhillon, a former patient of Nelson Daniels. Nav previously used the weightloss program in 2011 and lost 30lbs within 2 months! For years, the weight had stayed off until 2023 when she had a baby and was finding it challenging to lose weight while taking care of a newborn. She reconnected with Nelson Daniels and once again, the program helped her lose another 20lbs in just under 2 months, even while juggling the new mom role. Nav is a CPA by trade and has worked at Google, Accenture, and Kijiji, and after talking to Nelson Daniels about his retirement plans, she knew she could bring the program to a larger scale by bringing it to the online community. Nav has rebranded the program and is working with Daniels to take over when he retires.
